Yassine Aber, a 19-year-old kinesiology student at the University of Sherbrooke, was denied entry Thursday while trying to cross the border at Stanstead, Que.

Aber was travelling to a track meet in Boston with other members of the university's track-and-field team. He was born in Canada to parents who were originally from Morocco and was travelling on a valid Canadian passport.

our Canadian neighbors are being harassed and stereotyped they need to report this as soon as possible.

The mosque connection???? it was a Canadian white supremacist who committed this crime.

This really gets to me because I used to live in Detroit and remember school field trips to Windsor. It was always a fun experience, whether taking the tunnel or the Ambassador Bridge. We did not even need identification.

Why take chances of being detained at the border if you can just change your plans? Communities close to the border, on both the U.S. and the Canadian side, will be impacted.
