(10,173 posts)So we'll have to be smart within our rights: Shouting at a congressman/woman to do their job is a right, demanding that representative stop hiding and answer questions about critical issues - also a right, marching like women did day after inauguration - also a right . We must also ask whether a particular end justifies a particular means ( to loosely quote Alinsky) , else we'll just be swinging blindly, and missing the target. We don't want to unwittingly be pawns for this Trump administration.
The problem with Kurt's approach is that it is tone policing. We've got a President who is reckless, and behaving in a manner that disrupts the peace and well being of us all. Everyday he assaults our sanity and he wants to do more by testing the limits of the constitution. I've no doubt he wants to break it and rule by decree. This is alarming, and resistance is the only logical approach right now, respectability politics be damned.
