(5,591 posts)Here's hoping that the slow acting press hammers these findings all over the place.
Granted, they have to be calculatingly careful to stay one step ahead of the Putin machine and not play their hand too soon, but after their globally embarrassing "email" obsession they owe the American citizens serious professionally motivated journalistic truth.

(24,324 posts)The minute they see profit in a different direction, off they will go.
OR--- as soon as the threat to them reaches a certain point, they will back off..
That is my take.

What I will wait to see is if the media keeps on keeping on... and doesn't just 'follow the money."
If they do--- hooray !!!!!!!!!!!

(24,324 posts)My opinion is based solely on what I have seen. Three or four days on 'our side.' Everyone gets all excited about how they have finally turned the corner.. Then.... they turn again... KA-CHING $$$$$$$$$$$$
IF something has REALLY changed,, I applaud it with everyone else.
PS--
And I certainly believe the reports in the OP.

(5,591 posts)support or spread any "legitimate" reports or articles that have a chance to catch fire.
Trust IS certainly in low supply and we common citizens don't know all the back drama/obstruction/manipulations that play out behind every written word, but written words are still a potentially unstoppable weapon of mass PRODUCTION in fighting the corruption.

(24,324 posts)Several replies to me here seem to indicate I do not believe, or trust the reports in the OP... what gives?
I want to see the 'meedia' keep on keeping on with what is the right thing to do--- their jobs.. and not just swivel around when the clicks slow down...as I have seen too many times....

(29,322 posts)It clears up a lot of thing like using Wikileaks for "plausible deniability". I'm at the part where it says a Russian diplomat was withdrawn from a DC embassy on account of potential exposure in US elections operations which is one of many things that confirm this report as accurate to me since embassies are spy nests and diplomats are often spies with " diplomatic immunity".

(1,584 posts)connections. They are intertwined with his tax returns and that is only on the surface. It all goes much much deeper and all disguised under the pretext of the Russians helping us to fight ISIS. Notice how guickly he rolled out the much abused bogus voters straw man as a distraction from the Flynn actions?. Also his claim of not knowing anything?. Also Russia's timed speculated offer of returning Snowden? The security apparatuses of our country have much more information from their investigations and they will uphold their oath. That is my hope.

I am not saying all extremely wealthy people are like this.
It's the ones who use their wealth to undermine democracy and prop up their unpopular policies that hurt the majority.

The media will do their job if we keep after them. It's exhausting and time-consuming to corner these slackers and watch them like hawks, but if that's what it takes to keep them on task and expose this corrupt administration, let's do it.
