So Flynn and the Trump campaign were coordinating with the Russians. Why is anyone surprised?

The Nixon campaign cut a deal with South Vietnam to ruin the 1968 Paris Peace talks and the Reagan campaign cut a deal with the Iranians to keep the hostages in Iran until after the 1980 election, which became the genesis of the Iran/Contra scandal.

I so want to be wrong this time, but why will this be any different? The Republicans historically always get away with treason.

If this does develop onto a full fledge scandal, one hope I have is to see evidence that shows Mitch McConnell was in on the whole thing!

you name as examples.

Yes, the Republicans are often treasonous, but this time instead of using their treason to thwart their specific enemies, Trump and Co used his treason to undermine the very basis of American democracy.

Many will probably accuse me of hyperbole, but if this is not fully and bipartisan-ly prosecuted, the 2016 election will have been the death of American democracy.

I just think the GOP care more about money and power than democracy and they hold the cards.

I guess that's how they sell their souls: a bit at a time till it doesn't seem like such a big deal when they hand over the whole shebang.

everyone who quickly changed their tune about him after the Convention... they were obvious and I include the first five tiers of the Rs in all branches of our government. Hillary was right about a vast RW conspiracy and now we see, right before our eyes, what she meant.

They are nearly all complicit and should all be tried as accomplices or actuaries.
