It says that he wants to be appointed as an advisor/cabinet officer/consiglieri/whatever in the second wave of President Trump's inner circle. The idea is that the first group is so unappealing that he'll replace them early in his term. Chris Christie is still hoping that his continued "loyalty" will be rewarded.

Incidentally, please pardon me but I looked for the link to the article I read earlier today but I erased my browser's history and I couldn't find the article.

In any event, Donald Trump is an idiot. So is Chris Christie.
