Where the hell are the democrat's spines?

There was a time when it was the left wing that played dirty politics. When the labour movement was a force you did not want to be on the wrong side of.

A couple of Bill Maher quotes come to mind. I'm paraphrasing but something like "one tea party member has more energy in them than the entire democratic caucus". He also said that if Hilary were president now you could be sure that the republicans would already be talking about and trying to actually get impeachment proceedings going. And let me be CLEAR when I say that I'm not driving into the Hilary / Sanders divide and hatred. I'm simply saying that the republicans understand that they don't have to play by the rules. Their blind hatred of the left would have drove them to try absolutely everything once Hilary was elected. Just as they have done against Obama.

We aren't talking about a normal presidency any more either here. The building you are living in is on fire. I see the populous is waking up. It's fantastic to see rallies and angry speeches and protests. But where is the energy in the government? We are talking about a fascist ruling party. If the tables were reversed is there any fucking question at all that the republicans' heads would be exploding? I know there is some movement and I know I've heard some positive things. But the response does not meet the urgency of the situation. And yes I know they have lost power, are holding a minority position. But that doesn't mean you should roll over and die, not that they all are.

You would think that about now the dems in congress would be acting like they are in the fight of their lives. Our lives. You would think.

Or as long as one wishes to run for re-election?

The Democrats believe in a multi-party democracy.

The GOP believes in one party rule. Guess which party they would prefer to rule?

Most of them have voted against everything the ManBaby and his leader Bannon have done.

The people feeling the heat now are the GOPs. Those face to face town halls? Kiss them goodbye, Republicans are terrified. The mood out there even in red states is getting very ugly. Last time this happened, Congress changed hands.

This is the time for Democrats to look like the adults in the room, which they are doing very well.

10. Nope. They need to do more than lift their fingers to vote.

I called my Senators and told them that. For the really big stuff, Sessions and Sup Crt, I told them I expect them to fight until their last breath. Warren and Bernie need some help. (Funny, SNL Warren character said that last night.)
Sen Udall has stepped up more, and he continued reading King's letter after Turtleman shut her down. Sen Heinrich is furniture, plus he votes with the Repubs some. I'm letting them know. One small voice, but I'm also just one small vote. Together, we can all make them pay attention.

They are speaking out forcefully and calling for investigations, but they are limited in what they can do without control of Congress. The message is getting out and people are fired up. Bashing dems for not doing the impossible isn't the solution to anything, it just divides us further.

What*can*they do? They're not cooperating on ACA repeal, they're fighting against the Muslim ban, speaking out against/voting against nominees, and pledging opposition to Trump's SCOTUS nominee. They seem more oppositional than usual.

What ARE they saying? Not quite clear on what they are failing to do/doing wrong? I honestly think that most everybody- including the media- is still befuddled about Trump and how to handle him. A lot of what is going on is rather extraordinary.

That means the Democrats don't get to decide to impeach the President, no matter how much they want to.

We lost a whole lot more than just a presidential election in 2016.

actions. They are continuing to bring up and call for investigations into the Putin-Trump-election hacking scandal.
They are also calling for Trump to release his tax returns. They don't seem like they are rolling over to me.
