The washing off of the stench of 'party of country' will take a hell of a lot of scrubbing, possibly a party name change, or perhaps a party collapse. Short term they will try to get through any and everything they can as they waiver from extreme confidence/arrogance (while ignoring that deep dread inside) to slightly alarmed at the lack of public support/adoration in the wake of their significant election wins. Long term... they are making history - and not in a good way.
