Staggering level of toxic chemicals found in creatures at the bottom of the sea, scientists say

As the Trump administration tries to lift EPA and FDA restrictions we are faced with what is no doubt cancer causing seafood that to them is immaterial.

Staggering level of toxic chemicals found in creatures at the bottom of the sea, scientists say
Researchers exploring the ocean’s deepest reaches are accustomed to seeing oddities, from fish as fragile as tissue paper to translucent sea cucumbers. But even veteran deep-water scientists are shocked by the latest discovery at the very bottom of the sea: toxic pollution – lots of it.

Now we have a stupid, ignorant administration that doesn't care about the environment, the people or the remaining species on earth.

I remember as a child going on fishing trips in the gulf on charter boats and the beer flowed and the cans went right over the side. We have definitely improved from those days but thinking back on it now it is horrifying how cavalierly my folks generation treated the planet.

I am sure my kids will look at me with equal horror when they are grown. I try to keep my footprint as low as possible but I could definitely do better.

we must change the talking points for the environment to public health issues. The population, including all life forms, are compromised by pollution - toxic chemicals, particulate matter. We are currently adapting to those effects - sicknesses, particularly auto-immune diseases, screwed up brains in children, increased cancer death rates in children, altered sexual development etc.
