The NSA does monitor international communications extensively. It's that agency's job. Especially when the American end isn't part of the current government. That's what the NSA's supposed to be doing.

So, knowing that, they encrypted the conversations. They also knew they would be talking about stuff that they didn't want made public. I'm sure there's lots more the NSA knows, too, about what went on between the Trumpers and the Rooskies. It could become very interesting, if what is known within becomes known without.

because it demonstrates what they are capable of doing. So, getting transcripts of conversations between Flynn and some Russian equivalent will be really, really difficult. They're highly classified, simply because of the policies of that agency, so it's going to be difficult to make them public or even look at them, unless you are a congressional intelligence committee.

That is one of the problems with agencies that do classified stuff, and especially with the NSA. The fact that they even have the information is classified at a high level. How they got it is classified at Top Secret or even higher. So, few will have access to whatever there is. Very few, especially outside of the intelligence community. Congress will have to ask for it.

The Russians took over our democratic elections. Let that sink in for a second. Absolutely insane! This is a constitutional crisis the likes we haven't seen in this country since the Civil War.
