Rumors are that Preibus is the sacrificial lamb for the Trump "Administration" clusterfuck. Please say it isn't so. He gives so much and yet asks so little.
Me.

(18,837 posts)1). Anyone with an OUNCE of "political awareness" is keenly aware of the fact that Trump has no loyalty to anyone but his immediate family (and that in itself is a matter of opinion...case in point, Kellyanne Conway and BuyIvanka'sStuffGate...she damaged her, no doubt about it. If I were Trump and gave a rat's ass about my daughter, I would have fired Conway on the spot, unless he put her up to it in the first place, or he thinks he'd lose face and look like he "failed" if he did that).
2). Priebus HAS TO KNOW this. Did he think he was special? Did he think it was a career move? Did he think Trump would actually treat him any differently than he has treated every other person in his life outside of his immediate family?

(37,648 posts)I think the Priebus appointment was a hats-off favor to the establishment for supporting him after he got the nomination. He's establishment and not of the Bannon and Miller ilk.
Looks like they're going to purge him. If they do, it may be doing Priebus a favor. He doesn't stand a chance against the demagogues Bannon and Miller, so has no power, except to be a scapegoat when one is needed, maybe.
