How he acknowledged what they were going through and said his thoughts were with them.
Apparently it's a really bad situation and he brought it up during the presser. Said his thoughts are with them as they go through it. I haven't searched out for info on it but for him to talk about it the storm must be a monster.
By contrast...has drumf made ANY public comments on the 200,000 (the number seems to change with each new update) people who are indefinitely evacuated from the Oroville dam area? I say indefinitely because an article I just read had officials saying no one will be allowed to return until repairs are made and he could give no timeframe for that to happen.
I'd say it's because of the blue state/red state thing but I don't remember him showing any kind of public empathy when the tornadoes ripped through the red states. Though I still think one of the reasons he is ignoring it is because it's California.
He just has no awareness of ANYthing or ANYone besides himself or his immediate circle/environment. Not an ounce of concern/care/empathy/LEADERSHIP!
I read that the local Air Force base opened their doors to help evacuees. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to kick them back out.
