Flynn situation goes global, Russia denied Flynn talked about sanctions before he came clean

Moscow on Monday backed national security adviser Mike Flynn, saying he never improperly discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador. “We have already said there have not been any such talks,” insisted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, when asked whether Flynn and envoy Sergey Kislyak talked about rolling back tough sanctions imposed by President Obama, once President Trump assumes office, TASS reported.

That was about eight hours ago. And now, whoops...

Flynn apologized privately for the controversy to Vice President Mike Pence, according to a White House official. Pence, relying on information from Flynn, publicly vouched that the retired Army lieutenant general did not discuss U.S. sanctions against Russia in calls with the Russia late last year. Flynn has since told the White House that sanctions may have come up.

Now this throws the Trump administration and the Putin regime's credibility into doubt, let's just hope they never have to face accusations that they poisoned a man with polonium or dismissed a dossier about a certain President, right?

3. I doubt Pence and Flynn even talked, no reason to. They both WANT Russia to be happy

so Pence gives cover to Flynn, gets caught, gets a reprieve because at this point in time Pence is more valuable.
