Everyone knows Alabama is the deepest red state there is, but we are fighting back. I've recently joined the Indivisible group that was formed in my congressional district. I'm still learning about what they're doing, but it looks like a good strategy to fight Trump. They're taking a lot of lessons from what was done to Obama and working on what to do after that. They posted this link that I wanted to share here, because we can all get good ideas on how to fight this as far as what works and what doesn't.
Hope this helps others looking to organize their resistance. If Alabama dems can try to organize, lots of other dems can too.

(2,857 posts)We had nobody to talk to other than those in our families before and these guys are really getting things going. I'm learning a lot about what works.

(12,611 posts)tomorrow evening. Will try to bring my one (that I know about) pair of Dem neighbors.
Another of the chapters of this Indivisible organization staged a 150-200 person demo at the office where Sen. Jeff Flake sends a legislative aide once a month right here in my very red senior community. I didn't know about it until I got my local paper yesterday.
I hope you find a group near you!

We may not carry the mid-terms, Trump may prevail in 2020, but I feel like I've got my sanity. I feel like I've got some direction instead of a bunch of anxiety and hair on fire feelings. It feels good to do something constructive. I'm learning how to advocate and I'm getting in the habit of contacting my R senators. My next big nervous step is to visit Cruz and Cornyn's office. Some of our group get together and visit them in small groups.
