So, We Are Supposed to Believe That Flynn Had Simply Gone Rogue...

...in discussing sanctions, and that the Russians were naive to rely on the word of Flynn without any assurance that he was authorized by Trump or Pence, and held back on imposing tit for tat sanctions.

Likewise, we are expected to believe that Pence honestly believed that Flynn had not discussed the subject of sanctions during his meeting with the Russians, and that the Russian's decision to refrain from responding to the sanctions was just good luck on Trump/Pence's part?

I am sure that Flynn has a guarantee that if he rides it out, Trump/Pence will pardon him if the heat gets to hot, so long as Flynn takes one for the team. The only fly in that ointment would be Flynn turns on Trump/Pence in an offer for a deal, but then Flynn would have no one to save him if he sings on Trump/Pence.

We do know for a fact that Sally Yates told the WH general counsel on January 23 that Flynn was compromised and could be subjected to blackmail by the Russians. It is simply not credible that the WH counsel did not tell SCROTUS, even if Flynn himself didn't tell Trump himself before Jan. 20. And that's not credible either; there was no reason for Flynn to have acted on his own initiative. He was in contact with the Russian ambassador only days after Obama imposed the sanctions. No way he did that on his own.

I hope Flynn throws SCROTUS under the bus, though I don't really expect that to happen, as he seems to be a true believer.

One would have to be monumentally willfully ignorant to believe that IMNSHO.
