I finally told my Trump-supporting Facebook friends what I really think...

So, former acting attorney general, Sally Yates, yes the woman Trump fired for refusing to defend his unconstitutional executive order, warned Trump that Michael Flynn "could be vulnerable to Russian blackmail" but her warning was disregarded. This is the most dysfunctional administration I have ever seen. And all this blather by Trump's talking heads about how Trump accomplished more in three weeks than Obama in eight years. That is the most ridiculous load of leftover luau I have heard since I was 19 days old.

For the record, Obama accomplished far more in his first three weeks than Trump in his first three weeks. Don't believe me? Then Google it. The exception being golf. Yes, Trump played more golf in his first three weeks than Obama played in his first three months.

Funny now, don't you think, that Flynn was forced to resign for lying to Mike Pence and being vulnerable to blackmail by those pesky-peeping Russkies? While on the flip-side Trump doesn't see a dam thing wrong with lying to the American people every single frickin' day. And for all we know he too might be vulnerable to blackmail by the Siberian sociopath.

And get this, the tactless-tweeting tyrant was still boasting about his "landslide electoral college victory" yesterday during his press conference with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau. You know? His "landslide electoral college victory" that ranks 46 out of 58 elections. Would somebody please educate the lying fool as to the meaning of "landslide?" Please!

And finally, it sure is a good thing Hillary lost the election because if she had done in her first three weeks what Trump has done in his, House Republicans would be drawing up articles of impeachment. Thank goodness for that, huh? But since it's Trump we must all work together to ensure his success. Right? Well screw that. From what I have seen of Trump there is no amount of work we could do to prevent the preposterously thick-headed twerp from failing, and failing miserably. Unless of course one defines success as having a molten-steel rod shoved up the backside of every average American this side of Trump's beautiful and fantastically fabulous wall. Yeah, that wall. The one that if it is ever built will mysteriously morph into a gargantuan concrete catastrophe festooned with exceptionally tall ladders. Anyway, If that's how you define success then pat yourselves on the back for helping Trump succeed.

I, on the other hand, will keep tweeting away at the moronic-moose-lamb hater in the hope that one day, and one day soon, I can hit him with the perfect insult when he is most vulnerable to criticism. And hopefully have it hit him harder than an Elizabeth Warren taunt, thereby sending him plunging off that high wire of insanity he has been teetering on for how long nobody knows right into the black hole of barmy. Yes. I plan to stay busy in my resistance to the delusional-demented bigot. And real busy at that! You can count on it!

and I am just hammering them. I started out by replying to a post that said, "Flynn isn't going anywhere, you heard it here first."
I have been brutal, have posted 6 posts with no responses yet. I'm calling for Congress to demand Trump release his taxes so we can see how much he owes to Russian oligarchs.
I am pointing out the audacity of Trump considering Petraeus to take Flynn's place. I point out that it was Petraeus who was in charge of security in Benghazi when 4 Americans were killed and not HRC.

I am hammering them that Chaffetz had better convene an investigation into Flynn or the entire Republican Congress is complicit with Putin.

I finish each post with the goodie, oh, but those emails.

Put the boot to them people, keep this on the front page, be ruthless. I even said that it was Russia and Comey and cable news who got Trump elected, it is the deep corporate state that got Trump elected because it's the only way they could have gotten the real person they wanted as president, Mike Pence.

Hammer them, call your Reps and demand investigations, demand that Trump release his taxes.

Posting links to articles and providing them with facts to counter their right wing talking points. So far only one unfriended me because the facts I provided got in the way of her delusions and she couldn't accept reality. And strangely she is a devout Christian and still voted for Trump.

We all know the part that fake-news, vicious lies - call it what you will - played in putting this whole carnival sideshow in power. The pro-Trump sleazy tabloid headlines that we are a captive audience to when we stand in line at the grocery brainwash a lot of people. We CAN get them out of the stores! PLEASE sign our MoveOn petition to help us do this!

http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-selling-hate-filled?source=c.fwd&r_by=17478167

And here is a link to an article from Politico about the pervasive influence the tabloids have. If you don't want to read the whole article, please at least read this one paragraph from it:

It’s easy to imagine that tabloids don’t matter; the Enquirer is a relatively small voice in the media kingdom . . . But that misses the importance of the constant cultural background noise it adds to American life: There are 37,000 supermarkets in America, with an average of about 10 checkout stands each, and many stands feature a wire rack displaying the Enquirer, the Globe, often the company’s other tab, the National Examiner, and celebrity magazines. According to an industry study, American households make an average of 1.5 trips to the supermarket each week. Every customer passes by the checkout stand, which means that even people who never purchase a tabloid still absorb the ambient headlines, and those headlines can shape their view of the world.

But I think at least some Republican voters can be turned. As in the original post, it's a good idea to remind them of all the things that were sooooo important to them. National security, truth-telling, transparency, "lock her up," the deficit, and so forth. Because each and every one of these vital issues takes a hit, almost daily, from the Trump administration or from congressional Republicans.

If you can push them far enough and often enough, they may start seeing it for themselves. When that happens, they may build up an immunity to Fox and the other wingnut outlets, because the questions will form in their own minds when they see/hear the whiny "Don't look at that!" excuses like this morning from Rep. Chaffetz.

You have to keep on them, and you have to keep reminding them. They may be remarkably rude and hostile, but that's because you're challenging their nice, cozy bubble, threatening to pop it. Stay on target and as tempting as it is to return fire, just keep adding facts until reality can no longer be supported by their bubble.

I'm not calling them stupid or charging them with rank hypocrisy, but I am cheerfully reminding them that once upon a time, they were very concerned about some Democratic transgression (real or imagined) that Republicans are committing with libertine abandon, or some promise that Candidate Trump made that President Trump has broken. They're still pretty hostile, but I don't really care. I've been re-posting some of my Facebook posts here at DU for others to enjoy or emulate.

I had one bring up Obama's birth certificate. She wondered why Obama spent millions of dollars to keep his birth certificate secret and why he then waited so long to release it.

I asked where she heard that and why would it matter if he was born in Kenya since his mother was an American citizen. I received no reply.

She doesn't think Americans have any right to see Trump's tax returns.
