Sportsball fans: Trump's throwing out the first pitch vs. Obama's?

Is there any way our new preznit doesn't humiliate himself--if only by looking less athletic than his predecessor?

Is he practicing in secret? Is he dreaming up an excuse? Is he so confident in his baseball ability--the best in the region, he once claimed--that he'll just wing it?

Pretty sure he played ball at NYMA - he SHOULD be fine. jmg257 Feb 2017 #1

I honestly cannot imagine very many teams would invite him for a ceremonial pitch, especially if his approval ratings continue to plummet.

...particularly one who used to be a ballplayer.

That would enrage him, unless he's secretly relieved.

The first one would be where his appearance and pitch are not announced publicly beforehand. Even then, his reception will be brutal if the game is in the northeast corridor.

The other possibility would be for a team like the Marlins to ask him and then announce it ahead of time in hopes of attracting a sell out fueled by protestors. Given the relative proximity to Mar-a-Lago, that's a possibility.
