This is observational only but in my scarlet-red

part of Virginia, my gun-toting, Confederate-flag waving, don't tread on me license plate owning client has removed the immense Trump/Pence sign on the chicken coop.

And other signs are disappearing, too.

But does this mean that they are becoming smarter, or looking for a more competent fascist?

Just going underground for a while...

If they nail their Trump/Pence signs to a cross and burn them, then you know they have truly jumped ship.

he's been hinting he would like a hand getting down from his high horse. even tho he was still on board and spouting talking points a week ago, they sounded damn half hearted to me.

he wont be getting off lightly.

Sympathize with him. Tell him it wasn't his fault that he got suckered by fake news from Breitbart et al.

I know there is a lot of Schadenfreude to be gained from beating repentant tRump voters (metaphorically), but it won't help the cause.

Frankly, I don't think it means that knuckledraggers like this have changed their minds. They're just going to ground as before.

When I hear idiots in Congress like Chaffetz, or the likes of Rand Paul and others who are advocating giving this Russian kompromat a pass, all the while it's evident that Putin is pissed because he's got his military making threatening passes at our ships and in multiple locations, it's apparent that they have no plans to do ANYTHING about this or anything else this assclown is or will be involved in.

It will take a Russian nuclear suitcase, traceable to Putin, going off in the middle of Wall Street before enough rethug legislators decide to do anything about anything this shitgibbon and his cadre of other kompromats have been up to and they are all investigated and maybe driven out of office. He's gotten away with everything he's said and done and I don't think anything is about to change. In this case, confidence is low. Very low indeed.

Time will tell. For now we need to hang in there, be vigilant, persistent and pray, no matter what our faith is, that this all turns out OK. I do feel nauseous every night because of "The Situation"...
