Rand Paul on Flynn: 'Makes no sense' to investigate fellow Republicans

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/02/14/politics/kfile-rand-paul-republican-investigations/index.html?sr=twCNN021417kfile-rand-paul-republican-investigations0850PMStoryLink&linkId=34504233

Republican Sen. Rand Paul said Tuesday an investigation into the resignation of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn would be excessive and it would not make sense to investigate other Republicans.

"I think that might be excessive. It looks like the President has handled the situation, and unless there's some kind of other evidence of malfeasance, this sounds like something that was internal White House politics and it looks like the President's handled it," Paul told the "Kilmeade and Friends" radio show.
Flynn resigned Monday evening amid revelations that he misled Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had in December with Russia's ambassador to the US about sanctions placed on Russia. Pence had defended Flynn on television and denied he discussed sanctions after initial reports of the conversations.

The Dem Party is going to have to re-invent itself pretty completely and pretty fast if we're ever going to see that!

They have to give up 'reach across the aisle', 'off the table' and 'they go low, we go high' and attach themselves to 'we will beat your ass bloody, MF!'

That's what we need. But I don't know where we're going to find it.

that he places his own partisan interests above the security and future of our nation is scandalous and in better times would have disqualified him from office. He can try all he wants to minimize the damage and normalize selling out national security to a hostile foreign power, but this is not going to be swept under the rug. "Stonewalling" was a word that was used in the Watergate era. How did that work out for the GOP president?

"When you put yourself at risk and the country at risk with information potentially being exposed to enemies, I think it goes to a really poor judgement.” (Rand Paul on Clinton/Beghazi, accurately illustrating that he holds his own party to a much lower standard than he holds the Dems.)

It was the REPUBLICANS in Congress that pushed investigations that led to Nixon's resignation.
THOSE republicans placed being an American over party. Rand may have to eat his words.

AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! We have the numbers to make a lot of noise about all this shit and we damned well better do it continuously. Keep up the pressure and keep contacting Congress any which way you can. We're not going away until this administration is shown for the scum that they are.
