It's unlikely we'll change such sour attitudes that drag down the party... best to just cut-loose the dead weight and drive them out anyway. If they're not helping to solve problems, then they are creating them. We don't need that.

and take pot shots at people who did a ton of work, over a long period of time, for the benefit of all.

Luckily, I've never seen that type of attitude among folks I've worked with in campaigns I've been associated with. Whether we won or lost.
