Only one question to take Perry out at his confirmation hearing.

Play tapes of him calling Trump a "cancer on conservatism", "a carnival barker" and "a toxic mix of demagoguery and meanspiritedness that will lead the Republican party to perdition." There was lots of it. A Full transcript here of just one of them... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2015/07/22/perry_trumpism_a_toxic_mix_of_demagoguery_mean-spiritedness_that_will_lead_the_republican_party_to_perdition.html

Then ask him this. "Donald Trump's, Andrew Pozner's and Steve Bannon's wives all recanted heart felt, honest testimony about their abusive husbands before going to a trial. There are two reasons women do this. One is terror at what their monstrous husband might do to them, the other is greed. Which reason is the best fit for your total abject embrace of a man you recently and repeatedly condemned in the harshest possible terms?"

Because that really is the most important field for him to understand in that job, isn't it? The others in this job have been mostly nuclear physicists, haven't they?

However, the vote was delayed. He still has not gotten a vote. It is not clear why it was delayed.

A Senate committee on Monday night abruptly postponed its scheduled votes Tuesday on President Donald Trump's nominations of Rick Perry and Ryan Zinke to lead the Energy and Interior departments.

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee gave no explanation for the postponement, which it said was in effect "until further notice."

to mis-lead the Department of Agriculture.

Well, at least he isn't an imbecile, and he has governing experience, so I guess we should count our blessings there.

Just another asshole 'puke, brought in to trample on animal rights and equality of opportunity for the workforce. And, to preside over privatization and cuts to vital services.

Good god! His entire cabinet consists of people who should be on the theatre poster for "The Aristocrats."

A third cabinet position shit canned would really rattle *45's cage. I think Perry is slow and shallow and there is something twisted in there too. Some harsh questioning could make him fold like a cheap suit.

I am amazed at how many of these guys who despised 45 are now willing to kiss his ring or his ass. Maybe old Rick gets off on groveling and humiliation. He wouldn't be the first Republican to really like that stuff. Remember Republican Senator David Vitter who liked prostitutes make him wear diapers? He got reelected too. Maybe Perry's a submissive and Kellyanne promised him a spanking he won't soon forget.
