Why Trump Supporters are Angry

Many of them fell for the bs. they thought he was some great wealthy businessman who was going to get into office and easily make deals doing great things for the country.

it wasn't even about left or right as much as he would be better than Obama . he would get health care that would be better than Obama. he would be better on jobs. he would be better in fighting terrorism and a world leader. he would be better than the black guy who they convinced themselves only had support because he was black but was a horrible president. they convinced themselves that hillary was everything that is actually true about trump with the "pay to play" attacks on her.

they wanted to be able to say "i told you so" .

instead he has shown himself to be the same ignorant buffoon he was during the campaign and even before. he gets angry and tweets about stupid shit. he shows he has no knowledge of the issues. the fact that snl and other comedy is so close to reality doesn't help.

but if you look at his history none of this is a surprise. he has multiple failed businesses . he couldn't even make money from casinos in the mid 90s . he refused to show his taxes . and this should have been even more important in the case of someone who is running on being great at business. he was an idiot on the campaign trail and during his entire fucking life. did they really think he was going to be something different as president from what we have seen of him in his 70 years ?

so this is a huge failure on their part and their judgement.

i wonder if they have a higher percentage of people who fall for scams than non trump supporters.

For many, it seems to be easier when he fails them on something they are passionate about.

It was obvious to anyone with a brain that Candidate Trump was the dumbest person ever to run for President. Did they really expect that this shithead was going to run a smooth ship? I don't buy it.

Many of them were so taken with Trump's xenophobia and bigotry, they were willing to overlook his incompetence, his ignorance, his repugnant moral character, and his lies.

I have said it over and over and always get shot down about it, but, the way 45 got the ball rolling in his campaign was the racist, hateful bigotry. And his targets were brown or black and his cult of rabid supporters loved that.

Now, other things were a part of this too, of course, but in my opinion the main attraction was his blatant bigotry.

Closed minds. Stereotypes about New Yorkers.

To be fair, I see it work the other way around, right here on DU. All rural people are lumped together. There are stereotypes about farmers. We need to start understanding each other, as Americans and fellow Democrats.

He is going to make everything better! Obama screwed us all over. What he didn't get was that the ACA was going to be repealed, which he is on. He thought there would be a replacement, now that there isn't one coming, he's really worried. He still spouts off about how immigrents are stealing jobs of that he has no proof, just talking points. Screw him. I hope he loses his insurance. He has a pre existing condition. He will never be covered again. The hell with him.

You watch, it will get crazier. They'll concoct the wildest, most paranoid conspiracy theories to excuse his failures.

You know, W's supporters did the same thing when he was in office. No matter what stupidity he exhibited or what disasters he brought on, they made excuse after excuse for him. It was the press. It was Soros. It was Democrats in Congress. It was Republicans in Congress who wouldn't back him up. Etc. Everyone was undermining him and working against him and if they hadn't done that everything would have been wonderful. None of it was ever his fault.

36. The Business Bankruptcies
Thu Feb 16, 2017, 10:50 AM
Feb 2017

Throughout the presidential campaign, when someone brought up his multiple bankruptcies, Donald Trump would respond by saying he had never had a personal bankruptcy; all his bankruptcies were business related. That always made things worse for me. I could have accepted him having multiple personal bankruptcies and wanting to run for President. Some might say this is stupid, but I think there is a chance that a person who has had multiple personal bankruptcies can run the country. Maybe the person is not good with their own finances, but could still be good with the country's finances. However, if you cannot keep your businesses from going bankrupt how are you going to keep the country from going bankrupt? If you are running on the idea that you should be elected President because you are a great business man and you are going to run this country like you ran your businesses, the fact that you had multiple business bankruptcies should give me pause. Clearly you did something wrong if you had multiple business bankruptcies. Clearly this country should not be run like you ran your companies.

but there's still a huge percentage of rubes out there who are angry for two reasons:

1. They're always angry at something. These are spoiled, lazy bigots and misogynists who have found comfort in always being pissed off at anyone and everyone else for their failure to be millionaires.

2. These rubes aren't reading the New York Times or Washington Post. They're not listening to what Dan Rather has to say. Their bubble consists of Fox Toilet, hate radio and even more coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs blogs. If they're hearing about their hero's struggles in the White House at all, they're hearing that this is all made up by the librul media.

I honestly don't think the rubes are going to question anything until they are personally harmed in a permanent way by something that no one in their right mind can blame on anyone but President Dumbass. Even then, there will still be some who will blame the black guy who preceded him, libruls, women, brown people, satan... whatever.
