So to connect the dots:

Trump tries in vain since 2006 to get TM protection inside China; keeps losing court battles
Trump is elected, speaks out of turn against the One China Policy.
Trump changes position and publically states he recognizes and honors One China
Trump is awarded a difficult to obtain 10 year TM for his brand within China.

But it could be just one big coincidence, not a violation of the Emoluments Clause.

trump is experiencing some of it now. But, in the midst of it he's accruing more bad karma and will pay for this later.
