Flynn lied to the FBI.

Flynn in FBI interview denied discussing sanctions with Russian ambassador

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn denied to FBI agents in an interview last month that he had discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador to the United States before President Trump took office, contradicting the contents of intercepted communications collected by intelligence agencies, current and former U.S. officials said.

The Jan. 24 interview potentially puts Flynn in legal jeopardy, as lying to FBI is a felony, but any decision to prosecute would ultimately lie with the Justice Department. Some officials said bringing a case could prove difficult in part because Flynn may attempt to parse the definition of sanctions.

A spokesman for Flynn said he had no response. The FBI declined to comment.

He has something to deal to the Feds, otherwise he's going to spend some time in the gray bar hotel.

FBI not expected to pursue charges against Flynn: report

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/320031-no-fbi-charges-expected-for-flynn-report

The FBI is not expected to pursue charges against President Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn, barring new information about his phone call with Russia's ambassador, CNN reported Thursday, citing law enforcement officials.

FBI interviewers don't believe Flynn intentionally mislead them during an interview last month, despite Flynn not remembering all he talked about in a call with Russian envoy Sergey Kislyak where he discussed sanctions, CNN reported.

Reports emerged earlier Thursday that Flynn told FBI agents he did not discuss U.S. sanctions against Russia with Kislyak in December. Flynn’s answers during his Jan. 24 FBI interview contradicts reports about his past phone calls with Kislyak.

White House counsel looked into whether there was any legal issue and it was determined there was none. It was strictly a matter of trust.

They couldn't possibly be wrong about that, could they?

and Flynn stupidly lied to the FBI then the agency has leverage over him.

If and when he flips? The whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

That being said, I suspect the intelligence community has much more on this crew.

of their conversations with Russians. While I suspect it's Bannon who sunk Flynn, there are friendly forces who could be releasing this info.
