Next GOP Trick "Jungle Primaries" No Party Affiliation/ID On The Ballot.

Briefly mentioned on the Thom Hartmann show was the idea of a "jungle primary"? Not sure of the exact name of this new method of selecting candidates.

The GOP apparently favors primary elections for Congress to be open primaries where no party ID or affiliation is on the ballot. The election is run with any number of candidates and the top 2 are on the ballot in a run off. So you could end up with 2 GOPPERS running for a seat. They envision have two GOPPERs on a vast majority of seats in a general election.

They want to run elections like a lot of cities that are "nonpartisan" in that the candidates take no party affiliation. It is common for the GOP to run a gang of candidates with the hope of out numbering the opposition. It would be like being able to be on 8 of 10 horses in a race. So if you have 8 Republicans and 2 Democrats they have a better chance to have two GOPPERS on the ballot. and with unlimited money they could just pour in help for their preferred top candidates.
