protect Trump as long as they can, or until too many of his followers decide they backed a "loser." My guess is this indicates 45's denial "strategy" IS a loser and they're chivvying him along to a new position.

...when they begin to consistently take this position, and stop inviting his surrogates on their shows, we'll know the Kochs have finally decided to take him down. They won't do it until a SCOTUS nominee is confirmed, but it will be the clearest sign we'll see.
