Does anyone know if he is considering doing an update now - 10 years later - to show how things have changed with respect to global climate change?
If you haven't seen this documentary - I recommend you take it in. It is scary.

(2,955 posts)10 years later I'm sadly still thinking the same exact thing. It feels as if no meaningful progress has been made whatsoever. If anything, I see that large cars and trucks are having a comeback due to cheap $2 per gallon fuel. Doesn't help that the official stance of our government right now is that "Climate change is a Chinese hoax meant to weaken America".
The problem is change needed to come from the market, and fossil fuel prices never went up high enough to force it. What drive is there to invest in an expensive electric car when you can buy a much cheaper gas burner and enjoy the plentiful $2 per gallon gas? What incentive is there for companies to develop a better electric car when their customers all want more big brodozer trucks, sports cars, Suvs, and full size sedans?
Maybe in 10 years if we start seeing oil shortages again we might see a little progress.
Sigh....
