During the Obama years GOP members of Congress would hold town hall meetings on Obamacare. Sometimes people would attend who told the stories of how they needed health care and wouldn't have it without the ACA. Or why they needed the ACA passed when it was being debated. Republicans in attendance would boo them and then start chanting "USA!! USA!!"

real Americans. Liberals are the un-American enemy. They have said so many times.

At the 1992 Republican Convention the GOP Chariman Rich Bond said: "We're Americans. Those other people aren't." This is what they have believed for a really long time.
