show up and say something totally offensive and hope to profit off the resulting outrage.

The BEST way to counter Milo is to allow him to show up and speak but stick a booth outside whatever venue he is polluting and collect donations for the ACLU or anti-Defamation League or whatever organization seems appropriate.

He is a ridiculous buffoon.

He got PWNED, as those darn kids supposedly say.

Let him talk for a few minutes and it becomes clear that he's just not that good at what he does; his ideas are scatterbrained, his ideology isn't thought through very well, his "facts" are wrong, and he sounds clueless- most of all when he accuses people way brighter than he is, of not "being very smart".

He came off looking foolish, because he wasn't among a crowd that he could bait into incoherence just by saying incendiary shit.

They responded to him exactly as they should have- at least, the two good panelists, not the toothy and useless ex-GOP congressman...

and in that vein, watching Larry Wilmore respond to Milo's bullshit by telling him to go fuck himself is several hundred thousand more orders of magnitude satisfying than watching some yahoos with bandanas over their faces set a dumpster on fire to try and keep him from being allowed to speak.

And it's so amusing to see conservatives triggered by someone saying "fuck off," to them. Oh my, the poor sensibilities of these people.

And an awful person. I checked out his wiki page because I wasn't sure if he was putting on a *gay act* knowing how homophobic and transphobic he is.

HE says he is gay and that gays should stay in the closet.

I really wish people would stop giving people that do the kind of damage he's done - a platform.

have a great day Ms. Toad -- always enjoy reading you here at DU.

I have to confess I'd never really seen him, just knew the terrible things he's said and the horrors that have been perpetrated around him. He's a child playing with his own shit and giggling because the adults won't stop him. Jesus. Why has anyone EVER taken him seriously?

And WHY is King getting so much air time? He never contributes a thing worthwhile and he's nobody.

But Malcolm Nance? He's my new boo. I would have his babies.

Sat Feb 18, 2017, 10:02 PM

he is a tragedy. He has no place in real life. Milo is the result of the monetization of the online world of personalities who should have remained in their obscure corners and would have had they not found a way to connect with other undeveloped freaks. He's the Chris Crocker of politics. It is so gross, and I hope this whole 'free speech' fetish (because it is far from a conviction) of these internet denizens will quickly be relegated to the internet dustbin.
