And by calling it the southern 'white house' he's trying to create the impression he's working not taking a vacation

Plus all of the businesses in the area that suffer when he comes to town.

Taxpayer money spent at Mar-A-Lago goes right back into his own pocket.

He's making America great again...for Donald Trump.

In that case, the golfer beat the gator off with the golf club.

FDR's "Little White House" in Georgia.

I don't have a problem with presidents getting out of D.C. on a regular basis. I have a problem with Repub hypocrisy complaining about the cost of obamas travel while ignoring trumps.

$3 million a week x 52 weeks = $156 million a year

$1 million per day for Melania at Trump Tower x 52 weeks = $365 million a year

(this doesn't include her also going to Mar-A-Lago every weekend)

Multiply that over a four year term and taxpayers are looking at a minimum $2 billion.

"But he's doing the job and NOT TAKING A SALARY!"

And no, there is no talking to her about this.

She went "all in" for the red "Made in China" MAGA hats and stayed there. Nothing that has happened since January has fazed her in the least. Rather, she has seen it as encouraging signs that he's keeping his promises.

It always seemed so to me, but then I'm one of those Northerners. Northern part of the South, for sure, or perhaps mid-Atlantic. But to me, it's relatively Southern.

I think of DC as being the North-East...albeit the southern side of the NE.

It does seem like DC get the worst of both in terms of weather. Hot humid summers and bad winter weather.

Of course Malcolm X proclaimed anything south of the Canadian border was "south".

As a note, during the '50s and before, any blacks headed to D.C. (and south) by train from above the Mason Dixon line, had to get off the train and move to the rear cars if they were continuing on.

where your frequent vacations enabled you to jack up the price of admission to $200 k /year for fat cats seeking to buy access, ambassadorships, cool Facebook pics of the nuclear football courier, etc. It is in no sense the "people's house". Stop degrading something that belongs to all of us. While you're at it, stop degrading both your wife and the Lord's Prayer. Anyone could see that Melania was as nervous as a whore in church when your handlers made her read it from her script at your exercise in self aggrandizement yesterday. She grew up in the atheist household of a Communist party member and was never baptized or confirmed, so it is not surprising that she did not know this familiar prayer by heart, as most Americans of any or no religious background do.
