What was the point to this "rally"?

Because being POTUS is clearly not his bag. Everything he does is just pointless. Nothing but hot air. His pressers, this bullshit rally? And seeing him with Melania is just painful. I don't like watching abused women. And the way he treats her makes me sad. I don't want kids to see that and think it is ok for her to dutifully follow him like that. Ugh.

NO WONDER his transition is such a hot mess. Who the heck would want to work with such a pathological narcissistic incompetent blowhard?

I am not sure what's worse this fascist blowhard or the criminal GOP running everything....

He's banking on people,joining/following. The problem he ran into is that it was a spectacular weather day for much of the east coast today. Few people were watching.

No one in their right mind is going to suddenly love him because a few paid people held up signs confessing their undying love for him.

I hope you're right that no one watched it. I also hope the media doesn't talk about this either. They need remain on substance.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1979_Daytona_500

Back when there were only 3 TV stations the 1979 Daytona 500 marked a huge turn in the popularity of NASCAR. There was no major sporting event on that day. A massive snowstorm locked down most of the east coast. The race featured a big finish including an actual fistfight.

NASCAR's popularity rose from there.

Weather matters.

Which is good, because it is paid for with donations to that campaign. But doesn't make any sense at all. He hasn't been on the job for a whole month yet, why push to keep the job 4 years from now?

Someone posted two photos contrasting Obama and Michelle getting on a plane and DT and Melania. In the Obama one, he is walking behind Michelle. In the tRump one, DT is ahead of Melania literally with his ass in her face.

I checked out #trumprally and it seems to be more funny comments. The supporters are going gaga over Melania saying the Lords Prayer. I haven't seen the video so I don't know if she was wrapped in the flag or not.

Trump is a narcissist. They NEED attention, at any cost, like a junkie needing a fix. Now, sometimes any attention is better than no attention however 45's ego is so fragile, he needs to be adored.

This 'rally' will rejuvenate him and give him the rush he needs to get through another week. He will be holding more of these in the future I guarantee it. Less about campaigning for 2020, more about needing to be reassured of his greatness.
