If the Trump administration permits a catastrophic event to take place in the USA

Along the lines of 9/11...

How would you react?

For me, it would be hard not to group the terrorists from outside with the terrorists on the inside.

As a nation, we should pull together at the time of universal peril.

But I will NEVER support this President, or his administration, or the sniveling cowards in Congress.

It's these conundrums that keep me awake at night.

Yes, I fear that "permits" is the wrong verb. Think "stages," as the Reichstag burns. bellmartin Feb 2017 #5

If something bad happens, he will try to blame everyone but himself and Russia.

He was not blamed for his failure to even call a National Security Council "Principles" meeting for the almost 8 months he was in office. His tax cuts legislation took up all of his attention.

And he was later lauded for "Keeping us safe" for the 7 years after that.

Trump would just use it to justify banning and deporting all Muslims.

we won't really know until "something" happens.

I wouldn't doubt for a second that you are correct about a Reichstag Fire.
