New Official Meme: Whenever Trump Says Something Stupid, He Must Have Heard It On FOX
So, Trump's "what happened last night in Sweden" comment was in reference to some dog-whistle half truth that he saw on Fox News the night before, and conflated with Muslim immigrants and terrorism in his feeble mind.

In fact, Fox News has invested considerable effort into MAKING SURE that's what happens. That's a FEATURE, not a BUG! And it's why Fox News viewers are the most misinformed people in the Nation. More misinformed even than people who don't watch ANY news at all. Not surprising, because the purpose of Fox News propaganda is to DELIBERATELY misinform and manipulate the people in the GOP voting base.
There's even a name for it. It's called 'THE FOX NEWS EFFECT.' Referring to the dumbing-down of the segment of the population that watches Fox News.

That, in an of itself, is bad enough. The fact that Fox News deliberately crafts political propaganda to look like 'news,' in order to manipulate a bunch of rubes for political purposes. But I don't think they ever thought they'd live to see the day when one of the rubes they're misinforming would be THE F-ING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I wonder if this is a big "oh SH!T" moment for them?
