The leading potential 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates are over 70 years old.

Biden-DE will be 78
Clinton-NY will be 73
Kerry-MA will be 77
Sanders-VT will be 79
Warren-MA will be 71
Warren-MA is the only leading potential Democratic candidate that is younger than Trump.
A Warren/Castro Ticket would give Democrats AZ and FL (272ev)
AZ-Warren's Native American Heritage and Castro's Hispanic heritage.
FL-Warren is going to extremely well with Seniors.

James Buchanan was 65 when he was elected. As far as I know, he, Andrew Jackson, and Hillary Clinton are the only nonincumbent Democratic nominees over 60 ever. Jackson was 61 when elected in 1828.

John Kerry was 61 in 2004. Before him, you have to go all the way back to the 19th century to find a non-incumbent Democratic nominee who was 60 or older.

1876: Samuel J. Tilden (62)
1848: Lewis Cass (66)

And after them, that's it.

However, there are quite a few who would make the race interesting if they ran...

They include Booker, Klobuchar, Gililbrand, Hickenlooper, Kamala Harris, etc. I don't think any are going to be over 70...

Also, one or more West Coast business people might enter the race...

It's too soon to start the campaign. We really should be focusing on the mid-terms first.

Seth Mouton and Tammy Duckworth. Would have the duel appeal of being a "fresh face" and being a veteran. (Mouton USMC, and Duckworth US Army National Guard)

Kamala Karris and Cory Booker. Both younger and they both have charisma.

Hillary Clinton is younger than trump, by a year and 4 months. She was younger than him in this past election, so I assume she'd still be younger than him in the next. But she won't run. Neither will Biden, Kerry, Sanders, or even Warren.

The right person to run should become clear by then.

The right person will be:

1. Younger than all of the people you listed.
2. Not too far left to make moderates uncomfortable.
3. DYNAMIC and CHARISMATIC speaker. This is an absolute MUST in order to win.
4. Will adhere to Howard Dean's 50 State Strategy.
5. A FRESH, NEW face. Not someone who has already run.
