2. Watching the Parliamentary debate I'm struck with how honest the Brits are

and we've gotten used to lies from the GOP and holding back from the dems.

It's refreshing and sane!

4. The press in the UK tend to view their role as holding those in power to account

the press in the US are more concerned with "balance" and "presenting both sides". I've been saying for years that they should find a way to clone Jeremy Paxman and export him to the US. (Paxman is even more of a bulldog than Snow when it comes to interviews.)

7. Snow is one of the most incisive interviewers in UK media.

He's also a thoroughly sound and very experienced journalist, and the program he works for nowadays, Channel 4 News, is just about the most clued-up we have.

How did a person like that get linked up in all this intrigue in the first place? You knew every time he was taking a hit by his expression and his rebuttal was nonexistent.

He'd better avoid small planes in the future, he's an extremely weak link.
