Jon Snow U.K. Channel 4 News interviews Carter Page on Russian investigations.

Trump: Carter Page interview

JON SNOW
Presenter
Carter Page, the former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign.

I will say the Brits are much more direct than US reporters. Page is literally squirming.

I can't embed the video since it's not uploaded to YouTube yet, but you can find it at the link.

and we've gotten used to lies from the GOP and holding back from the dems.

It's refreshing and sane!

It felt sane to see Carter being held accountable for his role and not being able to lie and deflect.

the press in the US are more concerned with "balance" and "presenting both sides". I've been saying for years that they should find a way to clone Jeremy Paxman and export him to the US. (Paxman is even more of a bulldog than Snow when it comes to interviews.)

I'll have to check out Paxman now, too. I've never seen him do an interview before, and I bet it will be another refreshing moment.

He was skewered, and you think he'd have to have had some clue of that going into it.

He's also a thoroughly sound and very experienced journalist, and the program he works for nowadays, Channel 4 News, is just about the most clued-up we have.

How did a person like that get linked up in all this intrigue in the first place? You knew every time he was taking a hit by his expression and his rebuttal was nonexistent.

He'd better avoid small planes in the future, he's an extremely weak link.

Btw, the interviewer had crib notes written on his palm!

Carter Page was trying to suppress his guilt, but his flinching eyebrows were a dead giveaway.
