Out and about, loved, thanked, popular, cheered, at ease with themselves. And he's trapped in a job he doesn't seem to want.

Lovely story, by the way.

...but that doesn't take anything away from him.

I really love and respect Bill Clinton, as I do Barack Obama.

It pains me when they get attacked unfairly by so called liberals - just look at the esteem Reagan enjoys among Conservatives.

The contrast is stunning.

when he said- i feel your pain- i think he really did.
empathy is a sign that a person has higher functioning parts of the brain that these troglodytes lack.
that was one of the things that drew me to obama. his empathy. his obvious empathy. plus some stories i heard from peeps around here who knew him when.

let us never elect anyone who lacks this human essential again. that will keep us out of trouble.
it is something we should have stood for more proudly than we did.

Too many people believe that, and we are the poorer for it.

The Clintons have faced uncommon hatred for decades and it's part of our national DNA. I will never understand, and I am ashamed by it.

We missed a huge opportunity. And we're paying for it now.

I read this piece a couple of days ago. Despite Hillary's loss and all the ugliness and faux smears, the Clinton's have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of people here and around the world. And yes, Bill Clinton despite his flaws, is well loved and respected. Regardless of the setbacks, the Clintons just keep going forward, doing the good works they've always done.

I'm so glad this moment happened. They deserve it.
