Rachel Maddow: Why is Jill Stein so quiet about the Trump-Russia scandal?

Rachel Maddow: ‘Why is Jill Stein so quiet about the Trump-Russia scandal?’
By Sky Palma Posted on February 20, 2017

During an appearance on VICELAND’s Desus & Mero, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow pointed to a certain political figure who’s been largely silent during the Trump-Russia debacle.

“So everybody’s like, ‘Wow, how come this like super, super aggressive opposition that we saw from these third-party candidates — how come they haven’t said anything since this scandal has broken?'” Maddow said.

“I don’t know, Jill! I can’t pronounce it in Russian!” Maddow said sarcastically. “Hope you’re really psyched about you Wisconsin vote totals!”

Putin spared no expense to subvert our election process.

Which is an act of war. So many traitors willing to help him.

That is the sickest part.

If you have information that shows otherwise, please post.

If you're referring to Stein's activities, and not Maddow's, please be more specific. Yes, Stein was dining with Putin. Did she get money from Russia?

Maddow is a cheerleader for the new McCarthyism trying to dump Trump for his Russian connections. People aren't buying it and, at the same time, it is a distraction from the main threat of the Trump tragedy.

There are 5 Goldman Sachs alumni in the cabinet. Does anyone seriously think that these guys aren't cooking up a Treasury ripoff bigger than the bailouts? The crooks have never had a chance like this. Aside from the greatest danger, Trump in control of nuclear weapons, the Goldman 5 are #2 with a bullet.

The threat of another housing market collapse or a new Wall Street ripoff is far greater than anything that went on between Putin and Trump.

It was a witch hunt for communists and leftists in the US. Trump is far closer to McCarthy that those who criticize his authoritarian efforts. The idea that we can't crtiticize politicians who collaborated with the Kremlin to subvert our democratic elections because you haven't figured out Russia is now a right-wing oligarchy is ridiculous. Do try to catch up to the 21st century.
If you think the greatest threat from this administration is from Goldman, you haven't got the first clue about the dire situation facing the nation.

...lived in a fever-swamp of paranoia about Communism. "Are you now, or have you ever been..." became bywords of terror. Blacklists drove artists out of work. Accusing social justice groups, labor unions, and the like of being "front organizations" was enough to drive supporters away in fear and ruin whatever they had been trying to achieve.

Christ on a trailer hitch. Rachel Maddow is reporting the actual truth as it appears, not "alternative facts." Russia, in actual FACT, interfered with our election. They had ALREADY interfered in three other national elections prior to ours. They are, in actual FACT, attempting to destabilize democratic governments across Western Europe.

How the ever loving fuck does Rachel's reporting of these FACTS, including Trump's connections to Putin, in any way resemble McCarthy's persecution of innocent people?

Trump is connected to Putin, as are his handlers. This is not something that "went on between Putin and Trump" in the past. It's happening NOW.

Jeez, I remember election night wore on, she started stammering about "third party" blame and blah-be-dee blah. I had to roll my eyes at that point, thinking... seriously?!

How about who the fuck cares what Jill Stein or Gary Johnson or any other past candidate "has to say"?!

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be a better idea to focus on things that can unite us, instead of petty bickering and blame?
You know...unity? And all that shit?

Sigh

and if Stein took money from Russia as part of an effort to subvert that, it matters a lot.
RT is the propaganda arm of the a Kremlin, and Stein demonstrated her support for their efforts by sitting at that able. I frankly am sick to death of people insisting Trump humpers like Stein not be criticized.

I can't imagine why this would divide Democrats because Democrats do not vote for or support Trump and his cheerleaders. We criticize Kellyanne Conway. Does that "divide" us too?

Speaking separately, also in early August 2016, a Kremlin official involved in US relations commented on aspects of the Russian operation to date, Its goals had been threefold - asking sympathetic US actors how Moscow could help them: gathering relevant intelligence; and creating and disseminating compromising information...

This had involved the Kremlin supporting various US political figures, including funding indirectly their recent visits to Moscow. S/he names a delegation from Lyndon Larouche, presidential candidate Jill Stein of the Green Party, trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page, and former DIA director Michael Flynn, in this regard and as successful in terms of perceived outcomes.

That implies a level of political sophistication Jill Stein is incapable of, IMO.

Nope, she was flattered and manipulated into playing a useful idiot.

She gets invited to Moscow, she eats with Putin, and she feels important and respected. Add in the usual "it's America's fault" dressing of some on the far left, and now Stein feels some kinship with the poor abused Russians, who are just trying to stand up to evil American imperialism.

She was played, and in turn, she played her supporters. And now we have Trump.
