Being a former Obama voter does not clear one of racism.

If I hear this argument one more time I'm going to scream!

Just because someone voted for Obama does NOT mean that they are not racist! Geez, we make fun of the whole, "Some of my best friends are (Black, Jews, Muslims, etc) EVERY DAY!

McCain and Romney, while they had their faults, were NOT preaching racism during their campaigns.

These former-Obama-voters-now-Trump-voters TURNED THEIR BACKS on a qualified, experienced candidate to instead vote for an unqualified racist.

And don't tell me Hillary didn't have the policies and message, SHE DID!!!

They just happened to like Trump's racist message better.

3. I totally agree, Conventina. That stupid assumption drives me crazy, too.

It goes along with the stupid conservative assumption that Obama's election was proof we've achieved a post-racial society. On the contrary, his election brought all the racists out of the closet and they elected one as president.

They don't seem to have any problems voting for someone who promotes racism.

Sort of related, my city posted an article from Yankee magazine on Facebook. It was a nice article about the Somali community in my city. It highlighted specific Somali individuals and the struggles they've had in the past, but also talked about the good they've been doing in the community. Basically, the article was about how the unexpected arrival of the Somalis to the city, which was a city on the decline after all the mills closed, has helped revitalize the city. So some local idiot posts "not all Trump supporters are racist". What? The article was about the Somali community, not Trump supporters being racist. It didn't mention Trump supporters at all. Why did they have to make this about them. It was a really nice article basically that praised the Somalis and they took it as a diss on Trump supporters? I think these people have poor reading skills. They probably didn't even read the article and just assumed that it was bashing Trump supporters for being racist because the article was about Somali people. These Trump people are bitchy even when they don't have a reason to be. Some how Trump and his supporters are always the victims despite the fact they are the ones in power.

It's sick an not one of them has ever backed up their comments with facts. It's one of the most transparent arguments we have seen.

10. Sadly, it's pretty well documented that thousands did so.

I've never been so profoundly disappointed in my fellow citizens.

The bottom line is, they chose racism over unity, when it counted the most.

And for that, I will NEVER forgive them, nor show them ANY respect.

I guess things weren't going well enough for them to see the Big Picture.

They got suckered.

16. We should have read the warning signs that showed the INCREDIBLE lack of respect Obama suffered.

Our failing was thinking that he was more popular than he apparently was.

I don't live in the country I thought I did.

Once given the opportunity to vote for someone who promised to punish POC, & bring jobs back to white America, they were completely on board.
