George Will spoke with Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC this afternoon about how President Trump is doing one month in. And on the one hand, he said, Trump has picked solid Cabinet choices from the Republican pool that many people who may have been wary about him are pleased by.
But Will added that theres also the character issue with Trump, explaining, His character may not get better, influenced by a) the possession of power, and b) the sycophancy that normally surrounds presidents and their acolytes.
Mitchell asked him about whether Trump will be able to listen to much truth or pushback.
Will responded, I dont think he objects to the truth, I think he objects to truth thats inconvenient, and I think he objects to criticism of him.
