21st Century Business Model - End Of Traditional Job. The No Job Job.
Corporations and businesses are tired of having employees in the traditional sense. They just do not want to pay into Social Security, unemployment insurance, workmans compensation, pensions or any of the traditional benefits. They just want to pay as little as possible to get work done. They want "the government off their back". They don't want anyone telling them how to run their business. That means they should be the sole decider on how they treat employees.
The GOP small government model allows employers to run the show however they want. Social responsibility is just old 20th century thinking. The new "task" economy suits them very well, but it leaves workers out in the cold in the long run. In their world everyone will be like an actor who goes from project to project. And the worker takes care of all their own expenses.
Most workers will not survive or have anything in the end under this new labor system. You will only be valuable only as long as you are able to work. If you cannot work for some reason, you are done. And in the end there is no pension under this system.
The "new economy' is all about exploitation and unlimited profits. It is a new capitalistic model. The problem is that the old system did work well, but Ronald Reagan changed all that. Killing the social contract was the Reagan GOP model all along.
Now we see what they are up to. ACA is the best example because the GOP believes that only those who pay for health care should get it. Getting sick or being sick shows a lack of personal responsibility. And you hear hat line all the time from the GOP. And health care is the best example of the new reality. Either pay or die.
