Trump wasn't a real CEO. No wonder his White House is disorganized.

Trump wasn’t a real CEO. No wonder his White House is disorganized.

Running a family business isn't the same as running a public corporation.

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump made much of his business experience, claiming he’s been “creating jobs and rebuilding neighborhoods my entire adult life.” ... The fact that he was from the business world rather than a career politician was something that appealed to many of his supporters.

It’s easy to understand the appeal of a president as CEO. The U.S. president is indisputably the chief executive of a massive, complex, global structure known as the federal government. And if the performance of our national economy is vital to the well-being of us all, why not believe that Trump’s experience running a large company equips him to effectively manage a nation?

Instead of a “fine-tuned machine,” however, the opening weeks of the Trump administration have revealed a White House that’s chaotic, disorganized and anything but efficient. Examples include rushed and poorly constructed executive orders, a dysfunctional national security team, and unclear and even contradictory messages emanating from multiple administrative spokesmen, which frequently clash with the tweets of the president himself.
....

So why the seeming contradiction between his businessman credentials and chaotic governing style? ... Well for one thing, Trump wasn’t a genuine CEO. That is, he didn’t run a major public corporation with shareholders and a board of directors that could hold him to account. Instead, he was the head of a family-owned, private web of enterprises. Regardless of the title he gave himself, the position arguably ill-equipped him for the demands of the presidency.

By the mid 1990s he was in the shits and because of all of his bankruptcies no American of
European (except Deustsche bank .... and that got burned) would loan him a nickle so
Trump was helped out by loans from Russian banks and or Russian mobsters and this $$ let
Trump keep up the front as a successful businessman.

And Trump still hasn't come to grips with him that "The Apprentice" was all make believe.
It was a phony TV show and "the donald" wasn't really a boss of anything.

. . . and pretty sure it was Forbes had people on talk shows back in September talking about an analysis they did that showed if Trump has just invested his inheritance in a broad base of funds, he would have been worth $2 billion more than he claimed.

So, his great business acumen resulted in a net deficit of $2 billion compared to doing NOTHING!

Full disclosure: when I think about some of the stock I bought, I would have been better off leaving the money in the bank.

The stock sharing i got with this company quadrupled in value and split 4 times, so some of my profit sharing went being worth 64 buck for every dollar is was originally. Not any particular investing skill on my part. Just a cog in the machine that ended up very successful.

i think he leans on them because they have some degree of actual competence and cooperate by letting donnie take the credit.

now that the spotlight is on *his* actual performance, and his kids can't easily cover for him, his incompetence is on full display.

11. Trump declared bankruptcy four times. Will the US have to declare bankruptcy under Trumps

administration. On governing, he may claim to be first in his class but he has failed miserably in the four weeks of governing. I tried to tell the RWers when they said he is a businessman and will help the US the two are not the same.
