I wonder about the future. We are only a only a month in and GOP rule looks brutal and sadistic. How are we going to stop the harm, death and destruction they are about to inflict on the country. It looks much worse than imagined.

1. Right-wingers can't be reasoned with, they need to be defeated.

We need to get people to the polls, especially in the midterms, to remove the fascists from offices at the national, state and local levels. This will be a multi-election process over many years; it won't all happen in 2018 and 2020.

which is why they embarked upon a campaign to disenfranchise people, require voter ids and make that as onerous as possible, reduce polling places, control the voting machines, scare people out of voting, heavily tilt the media, and make it easier to pour massive amounts of money (now easily even hidden, foreign money) into campaigns.

they know damn well that their policies are in the minority. it takes an awful lot to make it look like anything even close to a majority.
