It's quite common up since we moved to the North Country in the late 90s.

If you ever get back to the area one of the best places is Bokies, a seasonal retro 50s place, in Malone. They have MI Dogs, Poutine and a Montreal Slaw dogs that according to my daughter who still lives there are pretty drool worthy.

Being in FL I'm sure Poutine would be scarce but if you cook it's not to hard to make Poutine at home either. It's basically just French fries, grave and cheese curd (squeaky cheese).

I was in Charlotte, NC until last year when I moved to FL. I haven't even been back to the North Country since '94 or '95.
I have a brother in Charlotte still, and he can make Michigan sauce that is pretty damn close to the stuff up there. I'm not sure how he did it, but I think I could handle making Poutine
