I can't reveal exactly where I work at, but needless to say I'm serving our country as a civilian employee. One of my co workers is a die hard Trump humper, he's made numerous loud, boisterous claims in public while on duty about ,"Making American Great Again" , and even going as far as to turn on the big tv sets to Fox News repeatedly. If anyone were to change the channel, he would actually yell and cuss at people.
Recently, our senior management team declared that only Sports like ESPN or soccer, or the hGTV channel (or something else of that nature) could be should on the tvs at work with no exceptions. Apparently some people had gotten into actual arguments over one of Trump's many Executive Orders, so they had enough of that. Guess who decided to instead start streaming Fox News' live Youtube broadcast on the computers? The Trump Humper. A customer saw this, I notified two supervisors who saw what was going themselves, and I closed the web browser.
Mister Trump Humper had a fit, he actually stormed out as I was leaving work yesterday afternoon and screamed ,"Setsuna if you have a problem with me, next time come up to me like a MAN about it !!!" And even better, his supervisor saw him do it.
Needless to say, the Trump Humper WILL be written up, as our place of work has zero tolerance for such buffoonery. He's a sad bully who thinks he can do what he wants, just like Trump. Except they'll both now that no one is above the law nor the rules on the job I'm sorry for having to be rather vague, but I'm sure you all would understand !

(332 posts)she kept claiming that she had her First Amendment rights, I replied yes, but not on Federal government property. I even had a six year old caught playing Modern Warfare with all of the cussing and blood and guts turned on, I had to literally take it out of his hands and shut down the game system on the spot !

(10,252 posts)When I'm somewhere with Fox News on, I make it a habit of asking if they would please mind turning the weather channel. It's innocuous, non-political, and gives everyone something to talk about without a nasty political fight breaking out.

(191 posts)I have never heard of so many political workplace conflicts in my life. I can hardly believe this stuff really happens, especially when it involves such caricatures of folks like men who randomly spout off campaign slogans at work, and people sneaking around and changing tv channels for Nyah-nyahs!

(11,949 posts)If and when he gets fired, make sure you have an action plan for the unlikely scenario that he returns to "get back his pride".
He seems to have many of the traits of workplace shooters.
Of course I truly hope that never happens but we must be prepared.
