The Republicans would have us believe...

that it is no big deal if someone from the White House asks the FBI to downplay or refute the "Russian connection" story? Did they forget that it was the intelligence agencies that told us that they had intercepted a communication between General Mike Flynn and a Russian official?

The Republicans would have us believe that it is no big deal if they request the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee and the Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee (both Republicans) agree to their request to talk to several "friendly" media people and inform them that there was nothing to any of these stories about Russia?

Well, it is a big deal. To blatantly interfere in an investigation by the FBI in such a manner could be construed as criminal. To attempt to subvert an investigation in the House and the Senate is no small matter.

As Joe Biden might say, "It's a big f**kin' deal!"
