Oscars question - which ONE of these people entered the US legally?

Hint - the correct answer had dual citizenship at birth

entered illegaly?

Reading their bios doesn't indicate that. Just because the other two weren't dual citizens to begin with doesn't make their entry here illegal.

I mistakenly thought you had already given away the answer. Sorry.

But there is an important distinction between entering illegally and being in illegal status solely due to visa overstay.

Many people that are here illegally (and have been for years) came here legally.

It's just that the RepubliCONs pushing the image of the poor, dirty Mexican crossing the border to take their job (that they'd never take in the first place) sells better when it comes to creating anger in their base.

I didn't notice anything like that with a brief internet search. Brief being the operative word here.

infuriates me because I am a patriot.

Wars were fought, people died, for us to be a FREE nation that welcomed others to a fault.

I know my family members of WWII Generation who voted republican religiously but also respected immigrants and admired what they went through.

Said family members were they alive today would be sickened by this child in the WH.

Seth Rogen. His father was/is American so he had dual citizenship at birth.

Fox entered the US without a visa.

Hayek entered legally but overstayed her visa at one point. She won't be more specific on when and for how long.

to come to this country. Maybe a work visa which he didn't bother with, but he'd have been legal just to cross the border in the first place.

If he was here as a tourist on the visa waiver program and stayed 91 days, he immediately became illegal.

There is NO difference between these types of illegal and the type where they cross the border illegally.
