Attention please, Illinois residents, resisters and Indivisible folk:
I just found out that there will be a "Support Trump" rally next Saturday, March 4th in Springfield, Illinois. It is being organized by two women from Clay County, Illinois (home of a local KKK chapter, per Southern Poverty Law Center). It is scheduled for 11am to 4pm at the Lincoln Statue at the state capital. Among those scheduled to speak or be present are a couple TeaBagger "dignitaries" and one Rosanna Pulido, a "project spokeswoman" for the Illinois Minutemen. Illinois Minutemen is a wonderful group dedicated to preventing us from becoming "another Mexifornia!" They are apparently connected to or similar to groups like Fortress America, Oath Keepers, etc.
I ask anyone who can possibly make it to Springfield next Saturday to show up in your pink hats, Not My President tee-shirts or whatever with signage appropriate for this event. So far, they have only two hundred responses on their Facebook, but I'm sure that will go up as it was just announced today. Also, if Admins could cross-post this to Activism, I'd appreciate it. I ask anyone involved with Indivisible to publicize this as widely as possible. Social media and phone trees could help us outnumber these Trump lovers and that would be a good thing.
