It does not help resist the Minority President.

Please don't toss provocative statements out there for no good purpose.

I hope that the cameras show both men repeatedly throughout the speech since Trump's ego demands that he receive all of the attention.

on the part of Ellison on many levels.

Looks like the talking heads are going to have a hard time pimping their "party divided" narrative.

Perez -- I listen to Bloomberg Surveillance most mornings. Bloomberg radio does a good mix of brief and long form economic orientated interviews--left, right, center, and nonpolitical. Sometimes they have had Perez on for a couple hours -- he gets peppered by questions from finance hosts and skeptical Wall St guests and he fields all of them in a positive, quick and logical way. Great at defending Obama policies. I'm sure that if he had a more prominent role in 2010 he would have done a great job defending Obamacare. We all know and love Keith. I actually think Perez is a better choice, with he main weakness being not having run for office himself. He's going to need help from more experienced politicians for help with electoral machinery. I hope Ray Buckley from New Hampshire stays involved -- he has done a great job getting Democrats elected in white republican New Hampshire. Tom Perez is also a native Spanish speaker, which doesn't hurt. I'm happy for them.

And let's remember, too, the DNC Chair is a huge job, particularly with what Democrats are facing. It's certainly a full-time job. Keith's constituents already have him pretty well booked, I'd imagine. Tom is now available to put all his time and energy into this. It's EXACTLY what we need.

I also like that young Mayor from Indiana. Hope he stays active as well.
