trump's name nor refer to him as president. I think we should all do that and do all we can to delegitimize him as president

If only there were speech and text filters to spare me from having to hear/see it. Wish I had the programming skills necessary to create an app that added a little delay and bleeped out every occurrence in podcasts/streamed content.
Perhaps someone here would be able to do it? I know I'd pay good money for it. I have a feeling it would be quite popular.

(9,313 posts)Some of the rhyming words are great, but as I noted post above, when I hear that sound over and over I feel a little nauseous.
I use the initials "DT."

(9,313 posts)The more I think about it, having an app that bleeped out that sound -- or replaced with word/sound of the users choice (there are so many great ones) -- would be a truly wonderful thing. And how finding text in pages viewed in browser and replacing with an "appropriate" image. Functionality would be limited to content listened to/read via phone, but at least that would be a great start.
Happen to know any app designers? Or know of any similar apps? (Perhaps I could find a way to suggest the idea.)
On edit: If such an app "took off," it would be like a massive protest. Wouldn't it be great to have news stories about the millions who can't stand even hearing the sound of his name. Unprecedented. I can see it all now! The rise of a little cottage industry coming up with "appropriate" words/noises to substitute.

(82,849 posts)It immediately stuffs any of those whiny arguments about how "You're disrespecting the office!" No, I called him President Trump the first time, and Trump each time after that. What I recounted about whatever odious action he took or my (usually profane) reaction to his latest transgression against the Constitution or the electorate is totally justified. It lets me get to the meat of my position without having to go through the butthurt of the spoiled babies who comprise the bulk of Trump supporters.

All this Drumpf and other variations reminds me of either 6th grade or Free Republic, where no one could bring themselves to write the name Obama or Clinton. I thought Hitlery was idiotic; same with the variations of Trump's name.
