It could start as a giggle on unknown origin and progress through the Democratic ranks into a full out guffaw.
It would drive him right into a meltdown on TV.. And he can't just wave to his goons and say "gettem outta here"

When the press hears something ridiculous, it's usually just too stunned to react right away.
I know what would be fun: every time he says something that gets the repub side to their feet, applauding, the Dems should jump up and yell and applaud even louder! Mess with his head!
