"SNIP...........
White House staffers have been told to preserve any materials related to Russian intervention in the 2016 presidential election, according to The Associated Press.
The White House counsels office handed down the order on Tuesday in a memo to aides, the news wire reported.
The move comes after Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee asked the White House and law enforcement agencies to keep materials related to Trump associates alleged ties to Russia.
Separately, the Senate Intelligence Committee last month asked federal agencies to keep materials that tie into its investigation into Russian cyber hacking and other efforts to disrupt the election.

(111,079 posts)It seems like the FBI is going mighty slow with their investigation, doesn't it? Maybe they want it to go on like Ken Starr's 9-year investigation??

(20,998 posts)The good stuff probably walked out the door with Flynn on secure flash drives, the shredders probably worked overtime and the burn bags are now airily empty. It should be glaringly apparent to all parties that no one in tRump*s White House will do anything to aid any investigation into tRump*/Putin*/Russia* ties.
The Senate Intelligence Committee...jeez, what an oxymoron. I'm sure Comrade McConnell has already made his feelings known....AGAIN!
Without an INDEPENDENT SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR the investigation(s) into the tRump*/Putin*/Russia* connection will go nowhere and be nothing but a Kabuki political circle-jerk.
